Camp Details
Theme : Super Hero Theme
Session : 3 day 2 night camp – June 7th-9th
Deposit : $50 non-refundable towards cost of camp
Fees : $250.00 for the week (horseback riding additional $25)
Ages : 18+ with special needs
Campsite : Camp Kern, Oregonian, Ohio
Hours : 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Transportation : Campers arrive at the campsite on Friday between 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm . Campers are picked up at the campsite Sunday between 12:30-1:30 p.m. Parents of campers are responsible for transportation to and from the camp.
Housing : Campers are housed in cabins with campers his or her age and gender. Counselors sleep in the cabins with the campers. Campers must bring their own bedding. Bathrooms are available inside the cabins.
Enrollment : Our capacity per session is 30 campers. The application needs to be returned as soon as possible with a $50.00 deposit; no later than May 20th.
Medical : A physical must have been completed within 2 years of the start of Camp. One cannot attend without this form completed and signed by their physician. Please click the link to download the form and have filled out by your physician.

7:00pm-10:00pm Dance Party, Cape Decorating, Photo Shoot, Root beer Floats
Saturday- New Camp Shirt
8:45 am: Breakfast
9:30 am-1:00 pm: Group photo, Archery & Canoeing
1:00 pm: Lunch
2:00 – 3:00 pm: Swim, Giant Swing
4:30 – 6:00 pm: Cabin Time
6:00 pm: Dinner
7:00 – 8:00 pm: Wagon Ride
8:00 – 9:30 pm: Game Night
9:30pm-10:30pm: Shower and Lights Out
Sunday - Blue Shirt
8:45 am: Breakfast
9:00 am – 12:00 pm: Low Ropes & Trail Rides
12:30 – 1:30 pm: Lunch and Check out
How to Prepare for Camp and What to Bring
Items Needed For Resident Camp:
- Pillow
- Sleeping bag / set of twin sheets & blanket
- Six (6) changes of clothes tied-dyed shirt, neon colored shirt, purple
- Clothes for sock hop, disco ball – optional
- Extra underwear
- Sweater/jacket/sweatshirt
- Hat/bandanna
- Pajamas/robe
- 6 pairs of socks
- Extra pair of old shoes
- Swimming suit & towel & swim shoes* (swimming is in a pool)
- Book bag/swim bag for carrying swim gear
- Poncho/raincoat/boots
- Washcloth & bath towel & shower shoes
- Soap & deodorant & shampoo
- Toothbrush & toothpaste
- Comb/hair brush
- Sunscreen/sunblock
- Insect repellent
- Flashlight
- Spare set of hearing aid batteries
- Long pants for horse back riding
- Book/magazines for quiet time
- Communication system/augmentative device
- Eye glass case for eye glasses/case for hearing aids/cochlear implant

Please make sure everything is well marked with the camper’s name. Do not send anything of great value. No cell phones; ipads & other electronics etc.
Camp is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen items.
Weapons, alcohol, drugs, pets/animals, flammable materials, vehicles, personal sports equipment or other dangerous objects are not permitted. Any such items brought to camp will be confiscated and if necessary, law enforcement officials will be contacted. Camp Emanuel staff may on the direction of the director search the personal belongings of campers/staff for non-permitted items. Non-permitted items will be returned to parents.
